WINGATE— Mrs. Alice Hodgson, 82, of Wingate, died suddenly at her home at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. She was born May 4, 1887 at Hartsville, a daughter of Martin and Ida Castetter Brown. She married Frank M. Hodgson April 6, 1912. He preceded her in death in April, 1967. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Hartsville and the Wingate WSCS. She and her husband moved to Wingate from Homer, Ill., in 1933. She was educated in Hartsville schools. Survivors include a son, Scott of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Fae Miller of Lynnsburg and Mrs. Lavaughn Renick of Flora; three sisters, Mrs. Myra Larrabee of West Lebanon, and six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown, with Rev. Jean McCan officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today
